By Odon Bulamba (summary only)
Revival is a step coming from death to life. When you are a sinner and your soul finds life again, this is revival for new Christians. Adult Christians need revival too but it is different from newborn Christians. For a mature Christian it is not about sin but about seeking God’s presence. We could read the Bible and pray when we were saved and then reached a level to understand and now we have reached a level to listen to God’s voice. The direct contact with God has died but now we want it to come back alive again. The need you have to see God is called revival.
We have to glorify God for everything at every moment of the day. We have to praise God for the bad things and the good things.
John 17:17
Truth is very important in our life. Truth is only truth if it can be proved with facts. Facts are very necessary in a Christian’s life. If I say today I am a Christian and the Word of God says I must live this way and there are no facts proving I’m a Christian; will I keep saying I’m a Christian? Revival works with truth and facts that go with truth. Revival is the strength, or the facts to give strength to our belief.
One day when Jesus comes back our actions will be with us and these acts come with the faith we have and if these acts prove you didn’t really believe, you will be one of those that will say, “Lord, Lord I did this for you in your name”.
Without truth, the Spirit can’t work and without the Spirit, truth doesn’t have value. The Holy Spirit gives revival.
This is how revival works, where everybody knows you are weak, God keeps making you grow and as a miracle you who were a simple Christian will become God’s servant.
Ezekial 37, John 3, John 5 and Ephesians 2&3
