God’s forgiveness is about love, and the Christian who doesn’t know God’s forgiveness is like a goat in the middle of sheep. You’ve already received salvation so understand God’s forgiveness; God’s forgiveness means to sacrifice your life for others.
The beginning of this started when Jesus was on the cross and He said, “Father forgive them for they don’t know what they are doing”. People heard Jesus but nobody went up to Jesus to ask for His forgiveness. Jesus knew that it was time to forgive man and forget about what happened. How many times do we as Christians leave our high place and go down to other people’s level to forgive them? How many times do we reduce ourselves to nothing by asking for God’s help to forgive? There are not many parents in this world who ask for their child’s forgiveness, it is always the child who has to ask. Jesus left His throne to come on this earth so that we might be forgiven, what humility? You know where Jesus was born and you know Jesus had a poor family. Jesus left His heavenly kingdom for these conditions.
If you are asked to leave and go to Africa or Vietnam, it will be hell for you, is this true? Jesus didn’t complain but forgave. God’s forgiveness can foresee danger in the future, and when you have eyes to see this, help those who are weak. Don’t wait until people come to you and ask for forgiveness, go to them instead and forgive them directly, this is enough.
There are some fruits regarding forgiveness, and one of them is reconciliation. Every Christian must love reconciliation, if you don’t like this word then it is time to ask God where you are up to. Each Christian must be in a good relationship with His God, so how can you be in a good relationship with God if you are not in a good relationship with man? Every Christian wants their prayer answered but it says that before you pray you have to fix the problem with your brother.
Another fruit of forgiveness is that it helps take away all the bitterness because if you are a Christian with bitter feelings then you have to question your faith. Run towards Jesus and ask Him to help you, He is always ready to help you be transformed.
Another example of divine forgiveness is revival. In the book of Philippians there were 2 sisters praying with the church, but there was a spirit of non-forgiveness among them. Paul said that the spirit of forgiveness was needed, and when this happened revival came to the church. We have to forgive because God asks us to.
Forgiveness must have a pure conscience. These are the points for the fruits of forgiveness. Luke says that the freedom of forgiveness is in the Lord, if you want freedom only Jesus can give it. To know Jesus Christ means to receive Him into your life and as you walk together He will teach you to love your neighbour. The enemy of someone can be your great friend. How many times has God forgiven you? How many times have you forgiven? Do you ask for details when someone asks you to forgive them? We must forgive without condition because it is covered by love. If you know the fruits of love you will forgive easily.
As Christians we must not fear death, we are called to have the fear of God first. If we don’t fear God how can we go to Him and ask for forgiveness? One day when I was praying God helped me to understand something. When Christians ask God for forgiveness they say, God forgive me for all the evil I’ve done. They don’t even have an idea of what they’ve done wrong, and this is normal for them. We must know how to forgive.
Forgiveness is not a process, when Jesus was on the cross He said it is finished, that’s it. Jesus didn’t start asking His disciples about what they had done previously. God’s grace is enough because Jesus blood covers everything. Do not talk about someone’s wrong when they ask you to forgive them, or do not go into depth because depth calls on more depth. If you do call on for more depth be ready for the consequences. Don’t ask for explanations. If someone kills your mother or father, forgive him or her; maybe it was God’s plan for him or her to die.

Forgive God’s Way

We are going to talk about divine forgiveness. We all know about forgiveness, if you do wrong against your brother, you ask for his forgiveness. If this forgiveness is not from the depth of your heart then it isn’t forgiveness. Example: You can hurt someone and say “sorry”, and that’s it but deep in your heart you don’t feel that you’ve done something wrong. God’s forgiveness is quite the opposite. God’s forgiveness is not limited to the lips or the education we received from our parents, but it touches the depth of a man’s heart.
What is forgiveness? Forgiveness is the act of forgiving someone when you feel in your heart they have hurt you. So you decide to forgive them and forget it completely.
There is a French saying that says, “You can hurt me today but when I see the sky I’ll remember the wound”, but God’s forgiveness is not like this. God’s forgiveness is like removing scars. Forgiveness has 3 components, so first of all you must have a wound and the wound is what we call wrongdoing. Secondly, the person who was wounded will feel it in their heart, and after this is forgiveness.
Example: If I stab you, what will you feel? Pain goes to the depth of your heart because the person who stabbed you has just become your enemy. He may smile at you but you won’t smile back, so after 30 years you will decide to forgive. This is how forgiveness works in the world. Christians who are spiritual babies say they forgive but in the depth of their hearts they lie. They remember what happened 2 years ago when they see the person who wronged them, and in their heart they can’t wait for God to judge that person. There are Christians who live this way.
Acts 10:43 says, 43To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
Romans 3:23-24 says, 23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Forgiveness is free. What does Jesus say about forgiveness?
Matthew 6:14-15 says, 14For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
If you forgive, God will forgive you and if you don’t forgive, God won’t forgive you. This is a condition that Jesus gave us. This is not a contradiction even though it seems so. Before some Christians forgive they ask that person they are forgiving to pay their debt, other Christians completely cut off their relationship and say that this is their forgiveness. Is this forgiveness according to Acts, Romans or Jesus?
This is forgiveness from the devil. We add our own conditions and use the Word of God to cover it. When Luke wrote the book of Acts he was talking to the newborn Christians, and he talked about forgiving and forgetting their sins completely.

He was a serious man but he asked me how he could help me? I said I want joy in my heart but he looked at me in a strange way. I said I really need Christ’s joy in my heart, so I said maybe you can’t help me but I can help you. He looked at me thinking I didn’t need his help. I said to him that Jesus loves you. He asked me how do you know that? I said you are a creature from God and He loves whomever He created. He said this is not true; you Christians have illusions in your heads.
When I left he came up to me and said, why did you tell me that Jesus loves me? I said that Jesus died for your sins and He wants you to change your behaviour. Suddenly his face changed and said that it went deep into his heart, what have I done wrong? Why have you troubled my peace? Where can I get my peace back? I said there is always peace in Jesus Christ. He then asked me for my phone number. When he phoned me he said that he had been a Christian for 12 years and nobody had talked to him about Jesus’ love. He had lived with hatred and disorder all his life, he thought that if he drunk beer on earth he would drink it in heaven. I talked more about God’s love and His forgiveness.

FORGIVENESS OF GOD (Part II)

God teaches us that divine forgiveness is to forget. Someone who doesn’t want to forget is the person who wants a swollen heart. When a man’s heart is swelling the pressure will one day make the heart explode, and when this happens hatred comes, distance comes and there will be no contact between the two parties. But God asks us to forgive and forget. Whoever doesn’t forgive will not be forgiven, Mark 11:25.
God asks us to get close to the person who has done wrong against us. If you don’t warn the one who has done wrong, their blood will be on your head. If you say I’ll wait until he comes to me, maybe they will die in their sin. Maybe their conscience will die. We must go to people and ask them to confess their sins and find forgiveness. Nobody invited Jesus to earth. Christians today just wait for others to come to them and ask for forgiveness. Some Christians are what I call Christian bosses in armchairs who wait for reports. Jesus had the humility to leave heaven and come to work on earth.
If you show Colleen more joy to see her than Andrew, how will Andrew feel? Is there love? There is prejudice in our actions.
Forgiveness is not only for others. I have to have pity on myself and forgive myself first. You have to weigh up your actions, is what you have done been forgiven? God have pity. Because you like your soul you have to ask God to help you to keep your soul. That’s why Jesus didn’t sin because each time He would think of His soul. If people can’t forgive themselves they won’t make progress. You must evaluate yourself.
The first treasure is our soul and we have to protect our soul because God loves it. If you love yourself then tell yourself that one day you’ll enter the kingdom of heaven. You will ask God, ‘Why do I do that?’ Do I have pity on my soul? I forgive myself for what I have done. People who were sick were taken to Jesus and the first thing He would say was, ‘your sins are forgiven’, even if they didn’t ask for it. Because it’s a free gift God gave us, give forgiveness without distinction of race and sex and with that you’ll see miracles. When someone comes to ask for your forgiveness it’s not up to you to judge. Jesus would say, ‘your sins are forgiven’. We have to learn to forgive without discussion. Don’t ask questions because the more you ask the more they will feel uncomfortable. To forgive is not to get information, but to forgive is to sort out problems and finish with it.
The Bible says that if someone makes a mistake go and speak to that person about God’s love. If he doesn’t know God’s love, teach him and say that God doesn’t like what he has done but don’t ask him to explain what he has done. If you go deep with a child who has for example stolen $5, “why did you steal?” maybe he doesn’t know about the devil, maybe he will lie. Sometimes we go in depth but don’t achieve our objective and end up creating more problems. If I ask forgiveness from you but you judge and want to know more about the details, you will make me feel uncomfortable and I will not ask you again for forgiveness. I won’t come to you again and this will put a barrier between you and me.

FORGIVENESS OF GOD

If there is no beginning it means it is eternal. If there is a beginning then there is an end. We were born and one day we will die. If there is a beginning then there has to be an end. Our Christian life also has a beginning and end on this earth. We have to realise that one day our life will finish.
John 3:16 says that God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son. Why? For our salvation and our redemption. Jesus Christ came to earth because since the beginning God wanted man to be forgiven for his mistakes. When Adam sinned God came down and visited Adam (Adam didn’t go to God) and made him clothes from animal skin to cover his nakedness. Forgiveness covers the nakedness of a Christian.
God asked Adam, “where are you?” First you have to know where you are. Adam said, ‘I’m in the garden but hiding’. And God asked, ‘why?’ ‘Because I have sinned’. God didn’t ask Adam what happened because it wasn’t the time to judge Adam but first of all God covered Adam’s nakedness. God asked Adam, “How do you know you have sinned?” Instead of answering the question Adam said, “the wife You gave me made me sin”. Adam forgot that God sees everything and that His presence is everywhere. God’s forgiveness is omnipresent.
After this God visited the people of Israel and saw that they sinned a lot. So in order for their sins to be forgiven blood had to flow. God thought, ‘I don’t want to come down all the time to kill sheep’, so God chose servants. “Aaron, you’ll do that to represent Me for the people. Take the blood of an animal and do this and do that and the person will be forgiven”. God gave Aaron power to lead His people to forgiveness. But many people died in their sins because sacrificing only happened once a year. God knows that forgiveness is necessary for everyone at all times because He knows we are weak.
God came (Jesus Christ), He left heaven where He lived and whoever believes in Him will have eternal life. God loved the world so much He gave Jesus Christ as a sacrifice for our sins. We cannot receive forgiveness without receiving Jesus Christ.
Jesus died for our sins. He did nothing but accept to be crucified, tortured and arrested for our sins. He sacrificed Himself for our lives. We too must sacrifice our life for the life of non-believers. Accept to use your time for the lives of others.
Love walks together with forgiveness. If you don’t have love you don’t have forgiveness but flattery. First we all must have love and when we have this forgiveness will come easily. Because God loved us He gave His only Son to die for us. To forgive people we have to ask ourselves, do I love this person or not and if not, am I worthy to be called a Christian? We must love and pray for our enemies and before we pray we must know if we love them or not, and if you don’t, you must find a way.
When you love you practise justice, truth and you have no prejudice. When you have love and you see that your brother or sister has done something wrong against you and you forgive them, God is happy.

Before preaching to others, I must first preach to myself. I must repent of what I am guilty of and ask God and those around me to forgive me, and then I can share God’s Word.

If you say, I’ll wait until he comes, maybe they will die in sin. Maybe their conscience will die. We must go to people and ask them to confess their sins and find forgiveness. Nobody invited Jesus to earth. But for us, we just wait for them to come to us and ask for forgiveness. Some Christians are what I call a ‘Christian boss’, in their arm chairs waiting for reports coming from here and there. Jesus had the humility to leave heaven and come to work.

Forgiveness is not only for others. I have to have pity on myself and forgive myself first. You have to weigh up your actions, is what you have done been forgiven? God have pity. Because you like your soul, you have to ask God to help you to keep your soul. That’s why Jesus didn’t sin because each time He would think of His soul. As long as a person can’t forgive themselves, they won’t make progress. You must evaluate yourself.
The first treasure is our soul and we have to protect our soul because we love them. If you love yourself, you tell yourself you want to one day enter the kingdom of heaven and you ask yourself lots of questions why you do that and condemn yourself. You will ask God, ‘Why do I do that?’ Do I have pity on my soul? I forgive myself for what I have done.
People, who were sick, were taken to Jesus and the first thing He says was, ‘your sins are forgiven’, even if they didn’t ask for it. Because it’s a free gift God gave us, give forgiveness without distinction of race and sex and with that you’ll see miracles.
When someone comes to ask you for forgiveness, it’s not up to you to judge. Jesus would say, ‘your sins are forgiven’. We have to learn to forgive without discussion. Don’t ask lots of questions, because the more we ask, the more they will feel uncomfortable. To forgive is not to get information but to forgive is to sort out problems and finish with it.
The Bible says, if someone makes a mistake, you will go and speak about God’s love. If he doesn’t know God’s love, teach him that God doesn’t like what has done but don’t ask him to explain what he has done. If you go deep with a child who has for example stolen $5, “why did you steal?” maybe he doesn’t know about the devil, maybe he will lie. Sometimes we go in depth but don’t achieve our objective, but create more problems.
If I ask forgiveness from you, but you still judge and want to know more about the details, you will make me feel uncomfortable and I will not ask again for forgiveness. I won’t come to you again and this will put a barrier between you and me.

Before everything exists, there is a beginning and if there is no beginning, it means the thing is eternal. If there is a beginning, then there is an end. We were born, and one day we will die. Everyone has to think, if there is a beginning, then there has to be an end. Our Christian life also has a beginning on this earth and an end on this earth. We have to realise that one day, our life will finish.
John 3:16, God loves this world so much that He gave His only Son. Why? For our salvation, for our redemption. Jesus Christ came on earth, because since the beginning, God wanted man to be forgiven for his mistakes. Adam sinned and God came down and visited Adam (Adam didn’t go to God) and God made him clothes from animal skin to cover his nakedness because God didn’t want to see his nakedness. Forgiveness covers the nakedness of a Christian.
God asked Adam, where are you? First you have to know where you are. Adam said, ‘I’m in the garden, but hiding’. And God asked, ‘why?’, ‘Because I have sinned’. God didn’t ask him what happened, it wasn’t the time to judge Adam but first He had to cover Adam’s nakedness.
God asked Adam, “How do you know you have sinned?” Instead of answering the question, he said, “It’s the wife you gave me, because You gave me a wife, I sinned”. Adam forgot that God sees everything, His presence is everywhere. God’s forgiveness is also here all the time.
After this, God visited the people of Israel and saw they sinned a lot. To forgive these sins, there is a need for blood to flow. God thought, ‘I don’t have to come down all the time to kill sheep’, so God chose some servants. “Aaron, you’ll do that, to represent me for the people. Take the blood of an animal and do this and do that and the person will be forgiven”. God gave Aaron power from God to lead his people to forgiveness.
But many people died in their sins because the sacrificing only happened once a year. God thought forgiveness is necessary at every moment. God knows we are really weak. God came (Jesus Christ), He left heaven where He lived and whoever believes in Him will have eternal life. God loved the world so much, He gave Jesus Christ as a sacrifice for our sins. We cannot receive forgiveness without receiving Jesus Christ.
Jesus died for our sins. He did nothing but accept to be crucified, tortured and arrested for our sins. He sacrificed Himself for others, for our life. We too must sacrifice our life for the life of non-believers. Accept to waste our time, our lives for them.
Love walks together with forgiveness. If you don’t have love, you don’t have forgiveness. Just flattery. First we all must have love and then we have pity on that person and forgiveness comes easily. Because God loved us, He gave His only Son to die for us. To forgive people, we have to ask ourselves, do I love this person or not and if not, am I worthy to be called a Christian or not because we must love and pray for our enemies and before we pray we must know if we love or not and we don’t, find a way. Because when you love, you practise justice, truth and you have no prejudice. When you have love, you see your brother or sister did something wrong and you forgive them and God is happy.
God taught us, divine forgiveness has to forget. Someone who doesn’t want to forget is the person who wants a swollen heart. When a man’s heart is swelling, the pressure will one day make the heart explode and hatred comes, distance comes and there will be no contact with this person. But God said to forgive and forget. Because who ever doesn’t forgive, will not be forgiven, Mark 11:25.
